Karma Publications' Blog Spot - Canada's Legal Support Directory - Olympic Edition - Spring 2010

As I write this I cannot help but comment on the event we have all just witnessed, the Vancouver Olympics 2010! Although the show is now over, it is worth saying and remembering what John Furlong, CEO of Vancouver Games, said in his opening remarks, in such a simple, yet moving way. In life as well as in sport, we should do our very best, and never ever give up, and he continued with, we are rich in history, visually blessed, young, yet ancient, and that the games were magic, and his proudest night. It think that it was that for many of us. We could add that we should never give up doing our best, as the athletes did and continue to do, in business as in life. And what’s more, we at Karma Publications, were so proud, that we are a country not afraid of the printed word, and that a wordsmith was invited to recite his poem, and quote from books, yes, books, the printed word, in front of 50, 000 people, and witnessed worldwide. That was a very proud moment in our country and for us! We were thinking of your directory which we were typesetting at that very moment in the history of Canada. We have been busier than ever, with many new companies and changes this edition, and although we are leaner, we are stronger and more focused, having had the advantage of serving you all now for over ten years! Imagine! We have had many new companies joining us this edition, and more to come next edition again. We know that you and all companies within our services, connect with one another through our services both in print and online, and use each other when a service is needed in another part of our country, as well as thoughout the world. As the poet Shane Koyczan said in We Are More, his poem, at the Opening Ceremony for the Olympic Games, each life, each person and company, is different, and creates their own tapestry, and each person makes their own success happen with their work - and with our help with their advertising. Let’s all keep doing the best we can and never give up! Keep the excitement, the inspiration and energy going, too. Read on for more news - and why not send yours next edition.
